George:
Steve, think of your family, think of your brother. Won't they be sad if you leave?
Steve:
My brother Lucus... he's the one I worry about most. I've taken care of him since I was thirteen.
George:
What did you see that day?
Steve:
I came home early... saw two figures downstairs. My wife and brother. They were too close... so close no explanation was needed.
George:
Did you ask them?
Steve (Bitter smile):
No. I couldn't even lift my feet. In that moment, I felt as superfluous as air.
George:
But you still have a child, right?
Steve:
My child is everything to me. I love him more than myself.
Steve:
Until I found out the child belongs to my wife and the brother I raised with my own hands.
George:
So you chose to end it all?
Steve:
Like everyone who commits suicide, I don't actually want to die. I just can't find a reason to live.
George (Softly):
Actually, you have another reason to live that even you don't know about.
